China
WALT:Follow an inquiry process.'
This term we have been learning about China, we have continued building on the inquiry skills we have learnt in term 2. We brainstormed open questions as a class and then delegated these out to pairs.
The part of China Grace and I were finding out more about was China's Work.
We found our information on the Internet and from books. We used a data chart to make sure we triangulated all our information so we knew it was true. We then used Movie Maker to present our inquiry.
Something I enjoyed was learning how to use a new programme and to persevere. An interesting fact I found out was that the Chinese working factories are not always nice to work in. My next learning step in inquiry is to try and find more information on my triangulated sheet.

Walt: find out more about China to help us in our Dance Performance.
Last week Cindy's Dad came to share with us all about China. He gave us Moon Cake because Moon Cakes are a special Chinese Dessert and they eat them at their Autumn Celebration which is this time of year . An interesting fact I learnt was that Chinese people write differently to us and they have a Traditional writing and a Simplified writing. I really enjoyed the part when we got to eat the Moon Cakes because they were really yummy.

St James the great
Our school is named after st james because the person who built He school was called James so they agreed that the school would be named st James. St James showed he followed Jesus because he had a lot of commitment and respect. an interesting fact about st James is that he was the first apostle to suffer martyrdom.

The purple pukeko
WALT:present the information i have learnt during my inquiry on the pukeko something i did really well during the inquiry process was concentrating on my presentation so that it stood out.Next time i do an inquiry something i could improve on is keeping my writing neat.the part i liked best about doing inquiry was creatively publishing my work because now i can remember how to make an impressive presentation.
